SUICIDE POOL ENTRY #2
Week 1: BALTIMORE
Week 2: LA RAMS
Week 3: MINNESOTA
MINNESOTA +2.5 vs. Maryland This segment is about making $$, not friends. Remember that as I tell you there is NO and I mean NO better handicapping system then death. I don’t care where the game is…what the point spread is…what the weather conditions are or anything else. When I hear sad news like Minnesota got when they found out a starter from last years’ team died of cancer this week, I am ALL over Minnesota. NOTHING, I mean NOTHING motivates a team like the death of a player or coach. Forget Minnesota has lost 6 straight road Big 10 games, rock the Golphers who will be sky high playing this lousy Maryland club which just lost to stinking Temple. Minny wins one for the gipper.
OPPOSITE PICK: MARYLAND -2.5
PURDUE +7 vs Boston College It’s been a rough go for the Boilermarkers who were expecting a decent season this year after going 7-6 last year and had a bulk of those players returning. But they sit 0-3 despite outgaining all 3 opponents. BC is 3-0. So why go Purdue? Boilermakers are NOT losing 4 straight home games. There’s too much talent on this team for them to do that. Plus, BC’s 3 wins have come against the likes of UMASS, Holy Cross & Wake Forest. That’s not exactly a who’s who of CFB. They have NO business being a touchdown road favorite in this spot. LOVE Purdue to get its first win outright.
OPPOSITE PICK: BOSTON COLLEGE -7
UCONN +29 @ Syracuse Tell the little lady not to make lunch today….you already have a big time “sandwich” game on your plate. One of the best CFB handicapping systems ever is in play here. Syracuse is coming off a monster win over Florida St, their best win in over a decade. They play Clemson next week. Do you know what that makes this week’s game? Yep, the sandwich game. Syracuse won’t give a rats behind about pathetic 1-2 UCONN which barely beat Rhode Island LWk. They’ll still be giddy over last week’s win & thinking about next week’s game vs Clemson. That puts UCONN in the perfect spot to cover the monster 29pt spread. UCONN blows, but I love UCONN in this spot.
OPPOSITE PICK: SYRACUSE -29
TULANE +37 @ Ohio St. Buckeyes h/c Urban Meyer makes his return to the sidelines with this game. A lot of people think Meyer will run roughshod over teams like Tulane to “get back” at the system. Not me. I think just the opposite. I think it will be very hard for Meyer to be asking people for forgiveness for looking the other way in a domestic violence situation….then beat the snot out of an outmanned Tulane team by 40pts. No, I think he will be calling off the dogs up 30 or so. Plus, OST has a huge game against Penn St. next week. More reason to not to be that concerned with this game. Plus OST is only 3-7 ATS when favored by 35+pts since 2012. I don’t expect Tulane to win…but this has all the earmarkings of a 40-17 type of game. Buckeyes win by 23-27pts. NOT 37.
OPPOSITE PICK: OHIO ST. -37
NORTH TEXAS -13 vs Liberty Now let me get this straight. North Texas beats SEC power Arkansas…@ Arkansas last week by 27pts and now they can’t beat stinking Liberty by 14? Unless Jerry Falwell is rising from his grave and be the 12th man for his Liberty Flames, the Flames are about to burn out. North Texas is now 3-0 with a cupcake schedule ahead, they could easily be this year’s version of Central Florida. They are NOT getting stopped by Liberty which lost to Army by 24pts it last game. N.Texas ROLLS.
OPPOSITE PICK: LIBERTY +13
MISSOURI +14 vs. Georgia The last time we thought Georgia could get upset, they buried S.Carolina by 24. Little different here as Mizzou probably has the best throwing QB in the SEC, if not country. He might be the #1 overall pick in the NFL Draft as he led the country in TD passes last year with 44. He’s that good. Both clubs are 3-0. Both are thinking SEC title and maybe more. Mizzou though has held its own against Georgia going 4-1 ATS their last 5 meetings. No reason to think they can’t hang with the Bulldogs again. Mizzou is a "Lock"
OPPOSITE PICK: GEORGIA -14
ARIZONA ST. +17.5 @ Washington Every once and a while I will play a game based soley on trends. This is it. Why? Because you will not find a more solid trend than what we have here. Yes, AST is a near 3 TD underdog to Washington. Yes, Washington seemingly got its season back on track winning at Utah LWk. And yes, AST’s season came back to reality losing @ San Diego St. LWk. BUT it doesn’t matter. Just know players come & players go. Head coach come & head coaches go. One thing remains the same. Arizona St. OWNS Washington. The Sun Devils are a remarkable $$ making 12-0 SU & more importantly 11-1 ATS their last 12 games against Washington including last year when they beat the Huskies 13-7 as 17.5pt underdogs as they are today. Can you say dejuvu all over again? In fact, the Sun Devils are 15-2-2 ATS their last 19 games against Washington including 8-0 @ Washington. You would have to be the biggest bird brain, pin-head, block-head, butt-head, bozo, buffoon, clutz, clod, clown, creep, dim-wit, halfwit, nitwit, dunce, dope, moron, fool, quack, ninny, nerd, numbskull, nincompoop, schlep, schnook, kook, jerk, jackass in the world to put American $$ on a team like Washington with all of those negative trends.
OPPOSITE PICK: WASHINGTON -17.5
